Enjoy the freshest sashimi with interesting little bottles of sake
Yamahisa, which opened in 2022, is a casual version as well as the sister restaurant of the popular Japanese cuisine restaurant “Kakyuu” in the Gosho Minami area. Almost every day, the chef goes to the market and visits about five trusted wholesale brokers and retailers to purchase large quantities of quality fish. The lunch menu features an array of satisfying specials including the sashimi specials where you can choose six or ten types of sashimi and the jumbo fried shrimp special. In the evenings, the shop takes on a more relaxed and adult atmosphere where patrons can sit back and enjoy sake with their à la carte dishes. The assortment of sashimi for \1,100 features mainstays such as bluefin tuna and natural sea bream along with quirky selections such as glossy yellow-fin goby, offering a little bit of luxury beyond our everyday grind. The six types of sake in the single serve-sized bottles for \800 are popular. You should also check out the 3-bottle tasting sets which are set at the slightly more economical price of \2,300.
The shop’s bright-toned woodwork creates a simple and clean yet relaxing atmosphere. Also known as a place that welcomes single diners.
