Hearth-baked pizza with flowers and herbs to cheer you up
Daniel’s Mondo is famous for its Tiella, a Southern Italian baked rice dish and its aromatic hearth-baked pizza. In addition to the old standbys such as pizza margherita and pizza quattro formaggi, the menu also offers unique pizzas that incorporate Japanese ingredients such as shime-saba (fillet of mackerel salted and soaked in vinegar) and kujo-negi (leek from Kujo). The pizza caprese (2,420 yen), which combines buffalo mozzarella with edible flowers and basil purchased from the market, is also wonderfully pleasing to the eye. You have a choice of counter seating, booth seats, and table seating, to match every situation. Enjoy Italian time that can also satisfy your heart.
Although Daniel’s Mondo is conveniently located within 10 minutes from JR Kyoto Station, it has the feel of an Italian back alley. Pets are also welcome at the terrace seats.
